The Houston Film Society brings you a remarkable opportunity to see more than 150 Feature and Short Film Premieres each festival season, to be a part of the challenge and excitement of film and television, and to enjoy the discoveries of one of the world's great international film events, plus free previews and sneak-previews all year long. The Houston Film Society sponsors the Student Film Award and offers special scholarships to the festival and the production seminars to 200 outstanding Houston High School & college students (This is a total of $79,000 in scholarships). Your donations are fully tax-deductible, and you can even sponsor an award or evening film in your name or your companies name. Just ask about our Sponsorship Opportunities. HFS members receive VIP Preview Passes for 2 - to new films before they are released to the general public. We usually send out more than 25 sets of passes for two people, via mail and email every year. We offer these Premiere Preview passes to both major Hollywood studio films and Indie/International films. All screenings are at AMC, Edwards, Angelika and Landmark. HFS is the largest film society in Texas with more than 900 members.
