Shira-Lee Shalit was born in South Africa, grew up in Houston Texas, and lives in New York City. She graduated from the High School for Performing and Visual Arts, where she won the prestigious Presidential Scholar of the Arts Award (one of 3 high school seniors in the U.S). Shira-Lee received her MFA in Directing from Columbia University's Graduate Film Division. Her first short film, Full Cycle , was named a Finalist in the Student Academy Awards;  A-List marks her feature film debut.
