The Blue Butterfly tells the extraordinary story of a terminally ill 10-year old boy whose dream is to catch the most beautiful butterfly on Earth, the mystic and elusive Blue Morpho. His mother persuades a renowned entomologist to take them to the Costa Rican rain forest to search for the butterfly in a life changing adventure.

Among the many films Candian filmmaker Léa Pool has made since 1979, Emporte-moi won several awards, including the Berlin Festival Ecumenical Jury Special Award. Also, Lost and Delirious was shown in many festivals, including Sundance. In The Blue Butterfly , she directs her first family movie.
